AUBURN — The 2015 Career Development Expo will take place March 12 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum.

The event is presented by the DeKalb Chamber Partnership, DeKalb County Economic Development Partnership, WorkOne Northeast, Freedom Academy, Learning Link DeKalb County and DeKalb Molded Plastics.

The expo is targeted toward unemployed and under-employed adults and high school juniors and seniors, said chamber executive director Shannon Carpenter. She said the event aims to educate those attending about career opportunities available in DeKalb County and the education needed to secure those positions.

Carpenter said 42 employers and educational providers will participate this year. She said employers have been asked to come prepared with information on job opportunities available now and also positions that they see coming available in the next three to five years.

The event also will feature H.R. panel discussions, interview and resume workshops and guidance on financial aid options and saving.

Resumes and applications will be accepted, and those attending are encouraged to “dress for success,” Carpenter said.
